Senior Cyber Security Engineer
Senior Cyber Security Engineers can earn around £64K in the UK, and $130K in the US.
Working alongside other IT professionals, a Cyber Security Engineer’s main responsibility is to develop and implement strategies to protect all digital data from attacks.
Senior Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker)
This interesting role can offer candidates approximately £70K in the UK, and $138K in the US.
This role is more commonly known as ethical hacking, which means that the testers develop authorised attacks onto the systems in order to evaluate the security levels, to highlight weaknesses and to see how easy it would be for an outside source to hack.
Senior Solutions Architect
The average salary for a Senior Solutions Architect is approximately £86K in the UK and $156K in the US.
A Senior Solutions Architect is a leadership role, and they are responsible for designing services and applications for an organisation to meet their needs.
Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Finally, a Chief Information Security Officer can earn around £116K in the UK, and $232K in the US – the highest out of the bunch.
A CISO is a senior-level executive who maintains the entirety of the organisations security – resulting in the highest pay grade. Both risk and business management are key for this role.
Most CISO’s have at least 10 years’ experience in the field before making their way to the position.
