Women in Tech - Emily Riddington

TechNET CxO talks Women in Tech

This week, we are incredibly honoured to be featured in an article from wearetechwomen.com where our Head of Search and Senior Appointment’s Emily talks from her own perspective about women working in the tech industry.

In the article, we were asked to answer a series of questions that the readers at We Are Tech Women would be interested in. Many topics were covered, including what we can do to influence more women and girls into the tech space, returning to work after having children and the personal career challenges Emily has faced whilst navigating her tech recruitment journey.

Our reason for voicing our opinions in this article is to share how far Emily has come, from starting her career heading to university, followed closely by co-running a small family-owned business, to being Head of department at TechNET CxO and becoming a Player Coach to eight consultants – all whilst juggling motherhood.

Emily focused on her experience being a first-time mum and the struggles of working part time. She also provides advice to those who find themselves in similar shoes to herself and to her younger self too.

As we are sure you can agree, Emily has come an extremely long way, and we couldn’t be more pleased to share, and hopefully inspire other young women to do the same. Some of our readers will be able to relate with Emily’s opinions and her journey, as it is an extremely important topic to highlight and talk about.
