Elon Musk makes final $43 billion offer to buy Twitter
Elon Musk has come out of his shell after a quiet few days of deal making regarding his latest $43 billion offer to buy Twitter.
The CEO of Tesla, and most recently known as the world’s richest man quotes:
“I now realise the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.”
He added confidently, “Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it.”
Musk continues to take control of the conversation and insists that he will “reconsider” his position as shareholder of 9.2% if his offer is denied.
By reaching out to someone at Twitter, a transcript of a voice note was released, to elaborate on his reasons.
“As I indicated this weekend, I believe that the company should be private to go through the changes that need to be made,” said Musk. “After the past several days of thinking this over, I have decided I want to acquire the company and take it private.”
Followed by “Are you available to chat?” and insisting that he won’t be “playing the back-and-forth game.”
Twitter stocks are beginning to rise as a result of the news, and with that news, the proposal is now in review, and we are ensured that the result will be in the best interest of “all Twitter stockholders.”
